Tim Reitz

Tim has been educating EMS and healthcare professionals for over 20 years. He was the Program Director for Duke Life Point, Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center's School of Emergency Medical Services for 25 years. During that time, he was instrumental in obtaining the initial CAAHEP Paramedic Program Accreditation in 2008 and maintained this citation-free accreditation for two more renewal processes prior to moving on.
 

Tim has held various roles in EMS including the NAEMT Education Coordinator for Pennsylvania for 3 years, and 5 years on the Board of Directors for Southern Alleghenies Regional EMS Council. A Commissioner for the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), a site visitor for the Commission on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Profession (CoAEMSP), and the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE). Tim has been recognized twice as the Reviewer of the year for CAPCE.
 

Tim worked as a Paramedic from 1992-2021 for Upper Yoder Fire Rescue and Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center Prehospital Services. He is the Fire Chief of Upper Yoder Volunteer Fire Company all in Johnstown, PA.
 

His interest and passion for technology and education led him to earn a Master of Science Degree in Instructional Technology Program at Grand Canyon University. Tim also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health-Related Professions, and an Associate of Science Degree in Allied Health Sciences, both from the University of Pittsburgh - Johnstown. He has been utilizing technology in the educational process for over 20 years.
 

Tim has presented at local, state, and national conferences on education and clinical practice. He continues to teach in his spare time on healthcare clinical as well as education and learning topics.

​Tim is currently enjoying a career as an EMS Program Specialist in Clinical and Regulatory compliance within a State EMS Office. He also is a test item writer and exam reviewer for Ascend Learning’s FISDAP.
